How does Acupuncture work
Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine disposable needles at named acupuncture points. The aim of the insertion is to encourage the circulation of blood and qi (vital energy) diffusing waste products created by the body, which may accumulate in muscle tissue causing stiffness and stagnation of blood. This creates abnormal pressure on nerves, lymph nodes and blood vessels which adversely affects the functions of the skeletal system and internal organs, causing pain and ill health.
